This simulator is a practical addition to the Fresh Water Generators course, designed to reinforce theoretical knowledge through hands-on application. It recreates the operation of a desalination plant, allowing users to safely practice the key stages of starting, monitoring, and stopping the unit, as well as to understand the relationship between vacuum parameters, boiling temperature, and the quality of the produced fresh water.

This desalination plant simulator is a fully functional software model installed on a PC running the Windows operating system. After installation, the user gains full control over the unit's operation and the ability to practically apply all key theoretical principles — from managing vacuum and pumps to monitoring salinity and emergency modes.
The simulator is intended to consolidate theoretical knowledge and develop a practical understanding of the freshwater generator's operation, closely mirroring real-world operating conditions onboard a ship.
